About Me

A New Chapter, Built on Experience
I spent nearly 37 years working at the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). When I retired in April 2023, I found myself facing a new question: What should I do with my time now?
After so many years of regular work and responsibility, I wanted to find something useful to keep me engaged. That search eventually led me to product research, content writing, and WordPress.
Through Nazir Writes, I now work on product reviews, product comparisons, and SEO-friendly articles. I want to help readers understand what they are buying, what a product can offer, and what they should consider before spending their money.
My Education
I completed my Secondary School Certificate (SSC) at BPDB High School. I then studied Mechanical Engineering at Chattogram Polytechnic Institute, where I completed my Diploma in Engineering in 1984, earning First Grade.
My technical education gave me a foundation in understanding how things work. I carried that interest into my professional life, where practical thinking, accuracy, and responsibility mattered in everyday work.
My Career at BPDB
I joined the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) in September 1986 as a Sub-Assistant Engineer, beginning my career in the Planning and Development Division in Chattogram.
Over the years, I progressed through three positions. I was promoted to Assistant Engineer in 2016 and then to Sub-Divisional Engineer in 2021. Each stage brought its own responsibilities and opportunities to learn.
My work involved electricity distribution, maintenance-related responsibilities, electricity sales, and helping consumers address their concerns under BPDB’s rules and procedures. My career also took me to different parts of Bangladesh, where I worked with people from different places and backgrounds.
At the time, there was no separate customer-care department like those commonly found today. Helping consumers with their problems was still an important part of the work. I learned to follow procedures, understand instructions, cooperate with colleagues, and maintain good working relationships with senior officers and the people who depended on our services.
I retired in April 2023 as a Sub-Divisional Engineer, after nearly 37 years of service. Looking back, I value the professional experience I gained, the responsibilities I carried, and the relationships I built throughout my career.
Why I Started Writing About Products
After retirement, I began thinking about how I could use my time in a meaningful way. One thing that came to mind was how often we buy products expecting them to meet our needs, only to discover problems after the purchase.
Sometimes a product does not work as expected. Sometimes it lacks a feature we thought it had. At other times, we discover limitations that were not clear when we made the decision to buy it. Spending money on something that disappoints you can be frustrating.
I had experienced that feeling myself. It made me think about how better research and clearer information might help people avoid some of those disappointments.
That was one of the reasons I became interested in product research and review writing. I wanted to help people make more informed choices by explaining product features, comparing available options, and pointing out details worth considering before buying.
I also found that I genuinely enjoyed the work. It gave my days a new purpose, kept me learning, and offered a way to build something of my own after retirement. Earning an income from that work would be a welcome benefit as well.
How I Approach My Work
I believe good content starts with understanding the subject and the reader’s needs.
When researching a product, I look at its specifications, stated features, intended use, limitations, and information available from reliable sources. When comparing products, I focus on the differences that may matter when making a purchase.
I try to explain things in plain English, organize information so readers can follow it easily, and avoid making claims that the available evidence does not support. If I have not personally tested a product, I do not present my research as firsthand experience.
My years in a technical profession shaped the way I approach work. I value accuracy, clear communication, careful research, and taking responsibility for what I deliver.
I also work with WordPress, including content management and website customization using Kadence and Astra. My work includes on-page SEO and content editing, and I continue to develop my skills as I gain experience.
